ABOUT GOLDENROD
Made for filmmakers, by filmmakers.
We came up in independent film. We know what it costs — in money, in hours, in sleep — to get a movie financed and delivered. Goldenrod is the tool we wanted and never had.
THE NAME
Why goldenrod?
On set, you'll often hear: "We're on goldenrod." It's the color of a late-stage script revision — the pages that mean the story has found its shape. Blue, pink, yellow, green, then goldenrod. For the cast and crew, it's shorthand for clear direction and real progress.
That's the job we set out to do for a film's finances. Take a process that's fragmented, opaque, and slow, and get it to its final form — where everyone can see the same picture and move.

MISSION
Full-picture financial clarity.
Projects runs on money that is hard to raise and easy to lose track of. Tax incentives can be the difference between a movie getting made and a movie getting shelved — but only if you know which ones you qualify for, and only if you stay compliant long enough to collect.
We exist to put that money, and the time spent chasing it, back where it belongs: on the screen.
We came up on sets like this one.
WHAT WE VALUE
Clarity, ease, community.
Clarity
No jargon, no black boxes. If you can't see where a dollar went, we haven't done our job. Every number on the platform traces back to a document you can hand to a film commission.
Ease
Filmmaking is hard enough. We take the parts that make it harder — spreadsheets, deadlines, audit prep — and make them quiet. You should be thinking about the movie.
Community
We're from the independent film community and we answer the phone like it. Ask us the question you think is too basic. No jargon, no judgment—just answers.
THE TEAM
Who we are.
Created and built by film industry veterans, Goldenrod brings together decades of experience in production, post, and distribution across commercial and long-form content — alongside deep expertise in technology infrastructure, tax strategy, incentives consulting, and public and private funding structures for film and television.
