Register the production with the Belize Film Commission through a local coordinator, submit the film license application and fee, and send the equipment list with serial numbers at least two weeks before arrival to secure duty exemptions.
The rule to remember
Belize has no production rebate or tax credit. The Belize Film Commission issues film licenses, arranges duty exemptions on declared production equipment, and can apply for work permit exemptions for crews staying longer than 30 days.
