What Guadeloupe actually pays
No statewide film incentive. City or county programs may still apply.
City, county & regional programs
Local incentives that can stack on top of the state program — but each defines its own qualified spend, caps and residency rules, so their rates can't simply be added to the state percentage. Worth a call before you count on one.
Guadeloupe Regional Fund for Audiovisual and Film Works 2024 to 2030
Selective grant set per project, not a percentage of spend, for works outside the scope of the State, CNC and Region fund. Production aid ceilings: EUR 500,000 for TV series, EUR 300,000 for fiction and animated features, EUR 200,000 for feature documentaries and TV movies, EUR 50,000 for documentary series, EUR 30,000 for shorts and single documentaries. Post-production and distribution aid are capped separately. The production must spend in Guadeloupe at least 100% of the production grant, or 160% for fiction and animated features, TV movies and series.
Minimum spend: Spend in Guadeloupe of at least 100% of the production grant, or 160% for fiction and animated features, TV movies and series
How to apply
Email the application to the Region Guadeloupe cinema service during a filing session (the 2026 session deadline was extended to 31 July 2026; check the Region's aid portal for the next session). A reading committee, the cultural affairs commission and the standing commission review it in turn, and an approved grant is paid under an agreement with the Region against certified spending in Guadeloupe.
The rule to remember
The applicant must be a production company established in France, the EU or the EEA, with a permanent establishment in France by the time the grant is paid, so a non-European production reaches this fund only through a French or European co-producer.
Common questions
- Does Guadeloupe have a film tax incentive?
- Guadeloupe has no statewide film incentive as of our last review on 2026-09-30. City or county programs may still apply, and neighboring states often do offer programs worth structuring around.
Verify before you budget. These figures come from our own incentives database and each shows when it was last reviewed — but programs change between funding cycles and legislative sessions. Confirm with the film office, or ask us, before a number goes into a budget.
Compare with
Programs in a similar rate band. The mechanism matters as much as the percentage — a transferable credit at 30% is not the same money as a cash grant at 30%.
