What Honduras actually pays
No statewide film incentive. City or county programs may still apply.
How to apply
The international production enters Honduras legally with filming authorization, has its local purchases certified by the General Directorate of Cinematography, and requests the dispensation from the Secretariat of Finance. Co-productions with a Honduran production company of at least three years' standing that are declared of national interest may also request funds from the Directorate.
The rule to remember
An exemption, not a rebate: it removes tax on certified local purchases only, and it requires at least 30% Honduran labor and production crew.

- Honduras has no statewide film incentive as of our last review on 2026-10-07. City or county programs may still apply, and neighboring states often do offer programs worth structuring around.
Verify before you budget. These figures come from our own incentives database and each shows when it was last reviewed — but programs change between funding cycles and legislative sessions. Confirm with the film office, or ask us, before a number goes into a budget.
